This meal will fill your stomach and is a great lunch meal. We will create a large serving so that it can be eaten multiple times throughout the week.
Equipment
1 large baking dish
Ingredients
2 large onions
6 garlic cloves
1 large carrot
Frozen peas (Check how much)
Daizu Meat (Check how much)
Canned Lentils (Check how much)
Canned Chic Peas (Check how much)
Canned Tomato Chopped (Check how much)
200ml Red Wine
2tbsp Soy Sauce
(?)g Butter
Oregano
200ml Veggie Stock
4-6 medium potatoes

Preparing The Mash
Peal the potatoes and chop into halves (Photo of prepared potatoes)
Bring (?)ml water to the boil, add salt and potatoes. Cook for 10-15 minutes.
Drain potatoes and place into large bowl, add (?)g butter, (?)ml milk, and a little salt. Mash until you have a smooth consistency. (Photo of mash potato)
Making The Filling
Add (?)ml water into pan and bring to boil. Drain chic peas and add to boiling water, cook for 30 minutes.
Add daizu meat and oregano into large pan with oil and cook for 5-10 minutes until slightly brown. (Photo of cooked daizu meat)
Chop Carrots into 3-5cm sized cubes. (Photo of carrots cooking with daizu meat)
Chop onions and cook in the same pan as the carrots. (Photo of )onions cooking with daizu and carrots)
Chop garlic into quarters and cook the other vegetables.
Pour in 1 can of tomatoes. Add 200ml red wine and 200ml hot vegetable stock.
Drain chip peas and add to the cooking vegetables. Lastly drain the canned lentils and frozen peas.
Simmer for 15-20 minutes (Photo of all ingredients simmering)
Baking
Add the filling mixture into a large baking dish, then gently place the mashed potato on top. Use a fork to fluff up the mash potato (Photo of Shepard’s Pie ready for cooking)
Place into oven for 25-30 minutes, checking occasionally to make sure the top doesn’t burn.
